Fixed Awnings

While fixed awnings aren’t exactly made for hurricane winds all the time, they do serve the same function as any mechanical awnings and do it just as well. Fixed awnings are often made sturdier than mechanical or retractable awnings in order to compensate for being exposed to high winds, and obviously look just as good as any other model. There’s rarely any difference in quality between retractable awnings and fixed awnings, and the only reason someone would be disappointed with fixed awnings would be if they bought them from a bad dealer, or purposefully looked for cheaper fixed awnings which you suspected of being poorly made to begin with.

In addition to their quality, fixed awnings are often more easy to construct, while mechanical awnings require much more time because of the complexity of the parts involved. Fixed awnings only need a fixture and a few moments of your time to screw them in after they’re assembled. If your especially frightened because of reported wind speeds of an approaching storm, you can unscrew fixed awnings and put them aside. If you choose fixed awnings which are properly shaped it’s not likely that you’ll need to dismantle them, but fixed awnings can be just as adaptable as mechanical or retractable awnings.

Fixed awnings come with arguably more ease than other models, and execute the same function just as well. Shade is shade, and any kind of elevated flat service provides shade. Whether it’s an umbrella, retractable awnings, or fixed awnings, you’ll be cooler underneath them than you would be without them. Fixed awnings are cheaper because less material goes into them than mechanical awnings, and as flawed as some are in high winds, most can hold their own. Awnings are incredibly popular in coastal areas or hotter climates, and fixed awnings would make a great conversation piece when you have company over.

Inevitably, quality fixed awnings are a decent investment, and as long as they’re quality fixed awnings, they will increase the value of your house almost as well mechanical awnings. Look for something that matches the look of your house is the only real advice I can give you. Look for fixed awnings with a color scheme similar to your houses paint job. Look at whether or not squared awnings would be better than more round ones. As long as you take some time, they’ll be great and I know you’ll find a set you like.

I can’t tell you that your life will be infinitely better with fixed awnings, but you’ll have a nicer house and you’ll enjoy them. You’d be surprised how little things like shade actually are luxuries when you realize how little you have of it. Fixed awnings make great shade for those hot summer days grilling outside, and prevent sun burn when you have an outside pool. Really consider them and I think you just might be surprised when you realize how great some fixed awnings would be for you, and for your friends and family.
