Canvas Awnings

Canvas awnings are popular and usable by everyone.  Anything from shops, hotels or bars to homes, boats and even doggy houses.  Canvas awnings are perfect for keeping out the weather while still enjoying the air.  Canvas awnings are good for warm, cold, sunny or even rainy weather.  The special material that canvas awnings are made of keep the weather from getting to you.  Water-proof materials are specially designed on canvas awnings so that rainwater and snow slide right off.  What a simple and effective design!  And if you ever tear through the canvas, awnings are easy to repair with special kits of iron-on canvas material.

I live in the dessert where we have very little cover from the sun's harmful rays and must constantly find ways to avoid it.  Who wants to deal with setting up an entire tent just to escape the sun?  And even if you had one big enough, it probably doesn't get very good circulation.  That is why canvas awnings are perfect for the summertime.  They are always cool and made of tough material so they last a long time.  If bugs are out in full force, simply attach netting to your canvas awnings and keep the door shut.

I remember doing just that every year at our family reunion.  Rain or shine, cold or hot, we always had canvas awnings to keep us dry and happy.  Any park we visited was already equipped with its own protection, often made of metal and wood instead of the classic canvas awnings, so they would last for years to come.  In the city, canvas awnings provide protection for many sidewalks, entrances and windows of public buildings.

 

Many people use aluminum awnings because of their long-lasting life.  However, I still prefer the versatility and compact canvas awnings.  I can do home repairs on canvas awnings and take them anywhere with me.  Aluminum ones are a one-shot deal.  They go in one place only and cannot be easily removed or repaired.  If you were to remove your canvas awnings from the house, you could easily install them in other places or even set up your own canvas awnings on-the-go for days at the beach or the park.  You can also pack up your canvas awnings to a compact size for easy travel or storage.  If you think about it, even umbrellas are like your own personal canvas awnings for traveling with!  How convenient is that?

Regardless of your activity or the weather of that day, it is likely that canvas awnings can give you the protection you need.  The canvas awnings I use the most, being a new mother, are the ones installed directly onto every new stroller.  I cannot imagine life without the convenience of simply sliding the canvas awnings over my child's head to keep rain, sun, wind and snow away.  This simple little invention has changed my life forever!  I will never go without canvas awnings ever again.
